To prevent last-minute problems with e-Verification, taxpayers are urged to verify their DSC for an expiration date, register on an e-Filing site, and install the most recent version of the emBridge application.

Q1: What should I do if I receive the error message “Something went wrong” while e-Verification using DSC?
Ans: Please follow the instructions listed below if something went wrong with your DSC.
1. Download the most recent version of emBridge after removing the older version first.
2. the most recent program, download: Install the newest version by going to https://embridge.emudhra.com.
3. For the fundamental troubleshooting, adhere to the instructions provided in the emBridge installer.
4. Please try again after deleting the current certificate and importing it again into the Epasstoken Tool.
Q2: What should I do if my DSC registration with the e-Filing site has expired?
Answer: The taxpayer must register a fresh, legitimate DSC with the e-Filing portal. Please follow the instructions below:
1. Get a fresh digital signature certificate from the DSC provider.
2. Go to the “Register DSC” functionality after logging into the e-Filing site.
3. Create a new DSC account on the e-Filing site.
Q3: My DSC registration with the e-Filing site has expired, question 3. What should I do if the “Customer already exists” error message appears when I try to register a new DSC?
Ans: Please de-register the previous DSC that was filed using your PAN on the e-Filing site before registering the new one. Please follow the instructions below:
- Get a fresh digital signature certificate from the DSC provider.
- To de-register the outdated DSC, file a complaint through the e-Filing site. Additionally, add a screen capture of the problem notice to the complaint.
- Indicate the rationale of registering the new DSC.
- You will receive email notification when your old DSC has been de-registered, along with instructions on how to register a new DSC.
Q4: The key individual connected to the corporation has gone, and the new key individual has registered DSC against his PAN. However, while utilizing DSC for e-Verification, the earlier key individual’s PAN is still reflected. Could you perhaps provide some guidance?
Answer: If the key person connected with the profile has changed, you must update the profile with the new information and designate the new key person as the Principal Contact. Please follow the instructions below:
- Using the corporate PAN, log into the e-Filing portal.
- Go to My Profile, click Key Person Details, enter the information for the new key person, and then click Appoint as Principal Contact.
- Instruct the Principal Contact to use its PAN to log in to the e-Filing site and go to My Profile->Register DSC.
- Observe the DSC registration instructions.
- DSC can be used to verify ITRs, forms, and other requests for corporate PAN once it has been officially registered.
Q5: Why am I receiving a “Certificate mismatch” warning while using DSC to verify?
Ans: Please ensure that the DSC used for verification is linked with the PAN of the Principal Contact and that the DSC is registered on the e-Filing portal from the Principal Contact’s login in the case of non-individual (Companies, Firms, Trusts, LLPs, etc.) PANs.
